Shelly Gensmer-Cleek

Shelly brings over two decades of expertise in the ARM and consumer finance industry, demonstrating an unwavering commitment to compliance excellence and understanding throughout her career. Graduating from Purdue School of Law in December 2022, she has continuously pursued academic and professional advancement, currently gearing up to conquer the D.C. bar exam in July of 2025.

Shelly has focused heavily on keeping up with the evolution of the ARM industry in the digital age, earning a micro-credential in data privacy and cyber security law during her tenure at law school. It is this trajectory that led her to serve as virtual Chief Compliance Officer and Chief Privacy Officer for a variety of ARM-focused companies including fintechs, servicers, and agencies. Shelly’s leadership in this role showcases her ability to navigate multiple complex regulatory landscapes from all lenses, while continuing to contribute to the work our firm puts forth in fostering an industry-wide culture of compliance and integrity.
